Mubasher: US private sector businesses created 195,000 more jobs in August, a report by a payroll processor showed on Thursday.

Medium-sized businesses added 77,000 jobs in August, outpacing 66,000 job gains recorded in small companies, and 52,000 gains in large firms, the ADP non-farm payroll processor’s National Employment Report said.

“This is the first time in the last 12 months that we have seen balanced job growth across small, medium and large-sized companies,” ADP Research Institute’s vice president and co-head Ahu Yildirmaz said.

Services providers hired the biggest number of people during the month, with 184,000 new jobs.

The ADP data are usually released before the US Labor Department’s more comprehensive non-farm payrolls figures, comprising both public and private-sector employment.
